Corsages

Last year for Kelly Packer’s wedding I decided that I hated the way traditional corsages looked, and I proceeded to put a garden rose on a gold cuff bracelet for her mother and mother in law.  The effect it had was huge! It look completely updated and fresh. This year I am doing something even newer(or should I say older). I have decided to go back to floral roots and tie them on with a silk ribbon, a la’ 18th century! Excited to use these for my gorgeous June bride in Tri-Cities, Washington.

Roots II

We moved! That’s right, Lemon Blossom Designs is now available to brides in the Tri-cities, Washington area. That means Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland! (We can also do East Oregon;) We are excited for the sunshine and bountiful fields. Also, as an introduction to the area, all brides who use us can take 10% off their entire order for the year of 2013. Just mention this post! Happy wedding season!

Fall Styled Shoot

I looked back through the blog and couldn’t believe I didn’t post this yet! It was featured on the beautiful Ruffled blog and has been pinned on Pinterest. Much thanks to the Awesome Jaclyn Davis (one of my all-time favorite photographers) and Flora Bond for the set up and gorgeous hair pieces.

New Roots

2012 was our best year yet!

Thank you to all of the amazing clients I got to work with. My husband will be searching for a job and we will be moving so currently Lemon Blossom Designs will be not accepting any new weddings or events until we put permanent “roots” down. I am so excited for this new adventure and can’t wait to see where Lemon Blossom Designs will go next!

Kelly + Dom = AMAZINGNESS

This wedding was so. drop. dead. gorgeous. I seriously thought I had been transported to a Sonoma Valley Wedding in California. Kelly has unmistakable style and it shows! She wanted to blend the elegant English garden look with sassy orange and gold patterns. She shipped linens in from La Tavola to get the amazing sequin gold and cream chevron stripe runners. She wore an Allure Couture Lace gown and dressed all of her groomsmen in suits from H&M. She served yummy crepes, and she owns a pug named Biko. Like I said, this girl has style. Thank you to Nicole from True Atelier for the stunning images!

Lovely Liz Part Deux

As promised, here are the images from gorgeous bridal session by Jaclyn Davis. I LOVE Liz’s fearlessness to wear a floral crown and I think it is amazing. It was made from garden roses and blackberry bramble, with blush and cream pearls woven in. Thank you Jaclyn and Liz for letting me be a part of this!

Lovely Liz

They say that rain at a wedding is good luck and if that is the case, they are the luckiest couple I have met because it rained the entire time (July 14th, who would’ve thought?). This wedding was one of my favorite of the year. I got to know Liz very well and she became one of my good friends. On top of that, she is literally one of the MOST creative and artistically talented people I know. She hand painted all the signs and decorations at her wedding and added the special details that are so vital to a lovely wedding. Her family also had a HUGE collection of family heirloom silver that she wanted to use in the wedding. I thought this was so special, some of the pieces dated back to 1877! We used all of the silver on the long tables and brought in soft elements of fruits mixed with ethereal blushes, lilacs, peaches, and creams. Best part of the wedding? The petting zoo. Really. She had a farm dog (my favorite!), bunnies, pigs, goats, and a horse! There was a wash station for the guests to clean up at before devouring the delicious food and cotton candy! Second best part of her wedding? She let me do a floral crown for her hair, she made the base with wire and pearls and I added the garden roses and blackberries. Stunning. I can’t wait to share more photos from the pre-wedding session. I wish Liz and Jordan the most happiness! Thank you to Jaclyn Davis Photography for the gorgeous photos!
